What does ‘repatriation flight’ mean?
Repatriation flights are special charter flights organized by governments in order to bring citizens or permanent residence holders.
These flights are generally point-to-point flights without any layover.
How much does a repatriation flight cost?
Repatriation flights do not come cheap, due to the limited sellable seats, as well as the fact that the aircraft of repatriation flight can return to the main destination mostly without passengers.
What airlines allow UAE residents on board to come back to the UAE?
Etihad Airways and Emirates airlines started repatriation of UAE nationals and residents to Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.
When does the repatriation flight to UAE start?
From 9th May 2020, limited one-way flights to Abu Dhabi and Dubai have been operated to help residents return to the UAE.
Is repatriation flight free for UAE residents?
No, you have to pay for your ticket.
How can I book my flight to go back to the UAE during the Corona pandemic?
You can book your flight but before that you need to apply for ICA approval via the UAE Twajudi Resident service, available at MoFAIC.gov.ae
If your application is successful, you will receive a unique ICA approval number, which you will need to provide to our agents once you book.
From what destinations are UAE repatriation flights available?
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Chicago, Frankfurt, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, Manila, Melbourne, New York, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, Toronto
These destinations have been approved by the UAE Government.
What do I need to book my repatriation flight to UAE?
You must hold a valid UAE resident visa and an ICA approval number.
*All residents will undertake PCR and thermal testing when they arrive into the UAE, and are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
